A Fleeting Thought

When: Fri., April 24 2015
Syncope, the latest exhibition at Heights Arts, pairs regional artists Rachel Beamer and Achala Wali. In medicine, the exhibition’s title refers to a fleeting loss of consciousness. In phonetics, syncope refers to when sounds or letters are not pronounced aloud. Beamer’s photographs and Wali’s abstract pencil and ink drawings feature compositions alluding to elements not present in their work. Syncope opens today with a reception from 6 to 9 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public. Show runs through June 6. (Usmani)
