A Prince's Tale Staff Pick

When: Tue., Feb. 3 2015
Direct from a highly acclaimed run at Boston’s American Repertory Theater, the production of Pippin that opens today on Playhouse Square is directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus, who was also nominated as best director for her revival of Hair. The musical tells the story of a young prince on a dangerously exciting journey to find meaning in his existence. Will he choose a happy, simple life? Or will he risk it all for a singular flash of glory? The play features breathtaking acrobatics, award-winning choreography and soaring songs from the composer of Wicked, including “Corner of the Sky,” “Magic To Do,” “Glory,” and “Love Song.” It opens tonight at 8 at Connor Palace. Performances continue through Feb.15. Tickets range from $30 to $115. (Siegel)
