Saudi Arabia might ban both filmmaking and homosexuality, but a gay, Indian-born Muslim man living in New York City surreptitiously documents his pilgrimage to Islam’s holiest site in director Parvez Sharma's A Sinner in Mecca. The New York Times calls the movie “a swirling, fascinating travelogue and a stirring celebration of devotion." It makes its Cleveland premiere tonight at 7 at the Cleveland Museum of Art.
