When he gets stood up by a mystery woman, Terence Nance decides to work out his feelings of frustration in a film about the experience. He travels around the world, shooting footage for a movie that becomes a hit on the festival circuit. Just he’s about to release the movie, How Would You Feel, he thinks, “She will see the film and smile.” That’s the premise of Nance’s experimental flick, An Oversimplification of Her Beauty, a film that combines animation and freeze-frame stop-and-go effects in a visually arresting manner. The movie screens at 7 tonight and at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Cleveland Museum of Art. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
