A Trip Up North: A Staged Reading of Brendan Whitt’s A Summer In Harlem 

When: Sat., July 8 2017
Tonight at 8 at the Euclid Tavern, local author and filmmaker Brendan Whitt will produce a staged reading of his first novella A Summer in Harlem. A three-piece jazz ensemble led by saxophonist Brittany Atterberry will perform; readings will be by poet and local activist D.L. Ware, actor Khalim Hill, actress Dayshawnda Ash, and poet and journalist Timothy Cox. The show will end with a performance by Atterberry's trio, followed by a jazz and blues inspired hip-hop set by DJ Nuera. Admission is free. (Niesel)
