All Stravinsky

Time Magazine once named composer Igor Stravinsky one of the most influential people of the 20th century. His work continues to resonate too as he embraced multiple compositional styles and revolutionized orchestration. Tonight at 7:30 at Severance Hall, the Cleveland Orchestra plays four of the works that established him as a musical revolutionary. An hour before the concert, guest speaker Michael Strasser, a professor of musicology at Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music, delivers the lecture "The Many Faces of Igor Stravinsky." Tickets start at $29, and the program repeats at 8 on Saturday night. (Niesel)
