All That Jazz Staff Pick

When: Thu., July 9 2015
Now in its 36ht year, the annual Tri-C JazzFest Cleveland features nine ticketed concerts inside the theater district’s venues and two days of free outdoor shows on U.S. Bank Plaza. While some of the acts fit firmly into the jazz categories, the festival embraces a range of music, including blues, big band, zydeco, gypsy swing, Latin and calypso. Tonight, the Dominick Farinacci Quintet plus the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra with special guests Take 6 are set to kick things with a 7:30 p.m. concert at Connor Palace. Farinacci is a hometown hero who has always draw well when he comes back to play hometown shows. Full festival passes — which provide tickets to all nine shows ˆcan be purchased for $200.Tickets to tonight's show are $40 to $65. (Niesel)
