With some 160 artists displaying their wares, the annual Boston Mills Artfest, which is now in its 44th year, is one of the summer’s best art shows. A jury accepts artists in an array of fields, traditional acrylic/oil, conceptual acrylic/oil, watercolor, jewelry, wood, graphics/drawing, multiple images, glass, whimsical, sculpture, ceramics, wearable art, furniture, metal, decorative fibers and mixed media. If you aren’t big on art you can also come for the food, live entertainment and music, as well as an “art and play” tent for the kiddos. A special preview of the show takes place tonight from 6 to 9 and then show hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow and Saturday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Ticket prices are $8 for adults, $6 for 60 or older or kids between 13 and 21, and kids 12 and under are free. (Alexandra Hintz)
