An Irish Wake

When: Fri., Jan. 3 2014
No one knows grief and mourning like a Catholic; let alone an Irish Catholic. In its fifth year running in Cleveland, Flanagan's Wake transports the audience to a wake in Ireland where villagers tell tales and sing songs for their dearly departed, Flanagan. Finding the humor in life and death, the wake acts as a dark backdrop for an otherwise hilarious show in which alcohol fuels the humorous reminiscing. The interactive and improvised show engages the entire audience as the guests are treated as the friends and family of the deceased (a sort of tragic Tony and Tina's Wedding). The show starts at 8 tonight and plays again tomorrow night at 8 at Kennedy's Theatre. Even if you can't make it this weekend, the show runs Fridays and Saturdays until April 26. Tickets are $25.
