Anberlin Performing at House of Blues

From the moment Anberlin took the stage last night at House of Blues, it was a raucous sing-along as the alt rockers plowed through a 20-song setlist and encore. Members of the five-piece band ricocheted off one another as singer Stephen Christian whirled like a dervish across the stage.

The fervor of the sold-out show’s audience was apparent during hits “Never Take Friendship Personal,” “Paperthin Hymn” and “Hello Alone,” before Christian soothed them with a solo acoustic version of “Down.” But it was during “The Unwinding Cable Car” that fans truly went wild, as their voices rose together to scream-sing through the lyrics.

San Fran rockers I the Mighty kicked things off with a rowdy set that established the tone for what was to come.
Here's what we saw.
