April Showers Bring Odd Flowers

Most years, April showers mean May flowers. But today's April Showers craft show means tons of off-the-wall gift ideas for brides and moms-to-be. Sponsored by the Cleveland Craft Coalition (best known for their edgy take on the usual craft-show trinkets), the show will feature 30 out-of-the-ordinary artists and crafters peddling their own peculiar take on the standard bibs, bonnets, and bridal accessories. No brides or babies to shop for? Then check out items like handmade purses, scented soaps, and pottery for your own deserving self. Admission is free. The show runs from 2 to 8 p.m. at Sachsenheim Hall, 7001 Denison Ave. in Cleveland. Find out more at facebook.com/clevelandcraftcoalition. — Niehaus
