Documentary about the feminist art movement taps the feminine and arty insight of Yoko Ono, Miranda July, and Cindy Sherman. The director — Lynn Hershman Leeson — graduated from the Cleveland Institute of Art but now lives in San Francisco, where feminine arty types tend to go. Are We Fairly Represented?

Brighton Rock

A classy cast (including Helen Mirren and John Hurt) headlines this remake about a young British thug. Opens Friday at the Cedar Lee Theatre.

Circumstance

An Iranian girl starts to feel some sexual urges. Her religious-nut brother doesn't like that. Opens Friday at the Cedar Lee Theatre.

David Holzman's Diary

A 1967 indie classic about a young filmmaker who makes a movie about himself. Cleveland Museum of Art's Morley Lecture Hall. At 7 p.m. Wednesday, September 28.

The Leopard

Luchino Visconti's 1963 classic about a 19th century family screens as part of the Cleveland Italian Film Festival. Cedar Lee Theatre. At 7:30 p.m. Thursday, September 22.

The Lips

Three social workers head to a poor Argentinean village. Cleveland Museum of Art's Morley Lecture Hall. At 7 p.m. Friday, September 23, and 1:30 p.m. Sunday, September 25.

Recently rediscovered 1942 British movie about Nazis invading a small town and the people who stood up to them. Cinematheque. At 7:30 p.m. Friday, September 23, and 5 p.m. Saturday, September 24.
