The Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows have been in existence for over a year and have continually grown with the surge in the DIY movement, due in part to the Pinterest and Etsy craze.
Indeed, the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows have taken off, what started with 45 vendors in summer of 2011, has grown to feature nearly 170 handmade artists and crafters for this summer’s show. The show, which is juried, will be located at Wagner’s Country Inn on Sunday, July 29th.
Patrons at the show can expect a wide array of goods to purchase including 100% handmade jewelry, home décor items, fine art, food, apparel and much more. The show is $3.00 for admission, and a portion of proceeds will benefit the Cleveland Ohio Animal Protective League for animal rescue.
“I would definitely say there has been a significant peak in the interest in our show line within the past year,” said Becki Cooper, founder of the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Shows. “Much of the Avant-Garde Art & Craft Show’s style is what you see on Etsy and sites like Pinterest. By bringing these types of shows locally, it allows customers the opportunity to purchase their favorite trends locally and in person. This is a great alternative because it gives back to our own community and economy.”
