Barnes Not Noble

Chris Barnes’ standup style is anything but. The stories he tells all seem to revolve around his falling-down drunk escapades: like using a change machine at a casino and thinking he’d hit the jackpot, or that time he tried to drive after a few and forgot how to turn on his car, so he asked an officer for help. His absurdist style means anything is up for grabs, and he will have you rolling on the floor with laughter, feeling both bad for him and better about yourself. His crazy antics and facial expressions only serve to add to his comedic caliber. He appears on the Club Velvet stage tonight at 7:30 with more appearances slated through Sunday. Ticket prices range from $13 to $18. (Liz Trenholme)
