Drama, War
Sergei Eisenstein's 1925 masterpiece is based on a true story about a naval strike that turned deadly in Russia 20 years earlier. There's great storytelling and cinematography here, but also several scenes that are among the most famous in movie history (including one with a baby carriage falling down some steps). This restored version of the silent classic includes a new score.
Director: Sergei M. Eisenstein and Grigori Aleksandrov
Writer: Nina Agadzhanova
Cast: Aleksandr Antonov, Vladimir Barsky, Grigori Aleksandrov, Ivan Bobrov, Mikhail Gomorov, Aleksandr Levshin, N. Poltavseva, Konstantin Feldman, Prokopenko and A. Glauberman
