Beat the Heat

When: Wed., Nov. 27 2013
The Cavs have stumbled into something of an early season slump here. Womp womp. Anthony Bennett — the asthmatic fatty whom was selected first overall — recently scored six points on 3-11 shooting against the Timberwolves and this was a career game. Kyrie is struggling a bit averaging a shade under 20 ppg on the strength of a monster game against Philly. The small forward position is an eternal question mark and the team’s most efficient player is C.J. Miles. However, a lean and mean Dion Waiters has been a bright spot, with improved defensive quickness and some sharp shooting and aggressive drives in the clutch. The Cavs have played extremely well at home, and the Heat are vulnerable this season (though you-know-who has recently stepped up his game). They’re not as deep nor as healthy as they were last year and appear to be coasting through the season’s first half. Look for a gritty, elbows-to-jaws game with forced turnovers, transition dunks and shot clock violations in the halfcourt. Tipoff’s at 7:30 p.m., and tickets start at $10. (Allard)
