Best Cheap but Potent Martinis

Houlihan's Mini Martinis

Mini is the new big, at least at Houlihan's, the lively Tower City eatery that serves knock-you-on-your-ass mini-martini flights that are both potent and cute as can be. Order any three-item combo of their specialty martinis, and three mini-glasses arrive at your table via a nifty wrought-iron carrier. If you favor fruity, try the Adam & Eve apple mini or the Guavatini, both splashed with fresh-squeezed lemonade. Creamy 'tini lovers will enjoy the decadent Key-lime-pie edition, rimmed with graham cracker crumbs, or the clever "chocolate Smooovie," with Absolut Vanilia and white and dark crme de cacao. From $6.75 to $9.50, the mini-martinis beg patrons to pick their poison again and again and again.
