Best Late-Night Dining

Flo Café

After you've spent a night clubbing and carousing, your mom is probably the last person you want to see. On the other hand, some of her meatloaf and mashed potatoes would sure quiet those late-night tummy rumbles. That's when Flo Café comes to the rescue, with hours that run until 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 4 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The big menu of homey foods includes comforts like roast turkey and stuffing, macaroni and cheese, and chicken pot pie, although diehard trendinistas can feast on lobster dip, grilled hanger steak, or something from the list of monthly specials. Partyers who want a nightcap can peruse the long martini menu too, with its Banana Split, Rootbeer Float, and Kosmo Kramer cocktails. And night owls whose booties still have a bump or two to spare can work it out on the informal dance floor, while a DJ spins tunes into the wee hours of the morning. Now, if the staffers would only set out your bunny slippers and jammies, you'd never need to see Mom at all.
