Best Neighborhood/Place to Buy a House

While it's not a neighborhood at all but rather a densely populated, complex city of its own, Scene readers insist year after year that Lakewood is Cleveland's best neighborhood. And why not? It certainly feels like a neighborhood, what with its walkable charm and dynamic commercial offerings. Couples can walk hand-in-hand from the Detroit Avenue dining utopia to the Solstice Steps of Lakewood Park, taking in a beautiful sunset and reveling in the company of others who consider this city to be Cleveland's best neighborhood. The homes are beautiful, the trees bountiful, the people friendly as they come, and we love that.
