Best Rapper to Have on Your Mixtape

Chip Tha Ripper

Chip's Wikipedia page may have been deleted because he hasn't had a charted hit yet, but that shouldn't lessen the rapper's impact on Cleveland's hip-hop scene. He's a friend of hometown hero Kid Cudi (the two worked together on an album a few years ago, before Cudi moved to Brooklyn) and regularly plays local rock clubs like the Grog Shop and Peabody's. He even supports local music with his S.L.A.B. Entertainment group. Chip is the guy you want on your mixtape. His smooth baritone flow is all over DJ E-V's popular Bitch, I'm From Cleveland series; he's also recruited local heavyweight DJs Mick Boogie and Terry Urban to host his recent Cleveland Show mixtape. Be sure to check out Chip's MySpace blog page, where he weighs in on a wide range of topics, including Cuban relations, Shaq coming to Cleveland and Nike's latest products. (
