The owners of Mosaica were tired of being seen as a "special occasion" spot, where diners ventured only once or twice a year. So out went the pricey menu of foie gras and filets, and in came the sleek bistro fare, along with the new moniker -- M Bistro. Now, among the hanger steaks, the walleye, and the wood-fired pizzas, the happy irony is this: Delicious, less expensive food and drinks, served by gracious staffers in an atmospheric dining room, still make visits here feel special enough for nearly any occasion.
