Remember the "special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions on a sesame-seed bun" jingle? Well, don't bother. Those plebeian toppings are sooo yesterday. Today's tuned-in food fans know that the au courant burger enhancement is nothing less than a slice of buttery foie gras. And they also know there's no better place in town to get their fix than at Moxie, where Executive Chef Jonathan Bennett produces the decadently delicious JB Burger, a sky-high stackup of top-quality ground beef, oven-dried heirloom tomato, crunchy microgreens, and a silken lardoon of house-cured foie gras "bacon."
