Best Use of Marshmallow Cream

Stan's Northfield Bakery

We know what you're thinking, and we're not saying you're wrong. But in terms of applications that are fun for all ages, there's no topping the lady locks from Stan's. Baker-owner Dave Strodek (Stan's son) handcrafts the European-style laminated dough and bakes it up into impressive cornucopias of light, flaky pastry. Meantime, his daughter Leslie whips up the ethereal, slightly sticky, not-too-sweet marshmallow cream -- no greasy, cloying supermarket frostings here -- and fills each pastry horn to overflowing. In taste and texture, the resulting sweetie is nothing less than addictive. And you don't have to confine your pleasure to the privacy of your own home.
