Big Beer Dinner Staff Pick

In his review of Red Lantern Kitchen & Bar, the West Park bar and restaurant that reopened last year, Scene’s Doug Trattner wrote “in true “gastropub” fashion, the roster of chow hops from mussels and flatbreads to tacos and Po’ Boys to ribs and grilled chops. The treatments are trendy, the presentations stylish, and the execution largely commendable.” Late last year, the newly refashioned place hosted its first beer dinner. Tonight, the libation of choice is Great Lakes Beer. The Lantern will serve up Conway’s Irish Ale, Eliot Ness, Blackout Stout, Edmund Fitzgerald and a special pub exclusive. To eat, chef Brian McNeff is cooking up a five-course dinner. The evening starts at 6:30 and costs an all-inclusive $40. (Niesel)
