Big Box is Back Staff Pick

When: Thu., Feb. 6 2014
Cleveland Public Theatre's Big Box series consistently breaks new ground. Spawning new works of theater, dance, music and other works impossible to pigeonhole, this collection of live theatre is always an exciting, unique experience. Offering artists a place to have their pieces become a reality, CPT brings artist and audience together for a collective learning and entertaining experience. Tonight kicks off the opening weekend with Nova, an opera about a sex robot. Composed by Lewis Nielson and directed by Jonathon Field, the opera intends to question feminism, marketing and the other aspects of modern society you always wanted to know about (but were afraid to ask). This play contains nudity and sexual language so leave the kids at home. The Big Box series starts tonight at 7 and runs through March 22 with a new play each week. It’s hosted at CPT's James Levin Theatre. Tickets are $12 to $18. (Patrick Stoops)
