Blackberry Smoke put out its debut in 2003 and since that debut, the band has independently released six full-length records and has toured relentlessly, building a strong and loyal community of fans. ew acoustic EP, The Southern Ground Sessions, which was released last fall to critical acclaim. Of the release, Guitar World praises, "With the new EP, a band that has defied critics to pigeonhole them have further proven that there is no one genre that can contain their versatile sound." Created as a companion to the band’s latest full-length album, Find A Light, last year's The Southern Ground Sessions was recorded at Southern Ground studio in Nashville and features stripped-down versions of five album tracks as well as a rendition of Tom Petty’s “You Got Lucky” featuring Amanda Shires. Expect to hear at least a few tracks from it at tonight's gig. (Niesel)
