Blind Ambition

When: Thu., Jan. 22 2015
Once the mentor to jazz great Miles Davis and producer extraordinaire Quincy Jones, trumpet player Clark Terry hopes to help a blind piano player overcome stagefright in Keep on Keepin’ On, a documentary that’s on the shortlist for this year’s Oscar for Best Documentary Feature. All the while, Clark is coping with health problems of his own. And yet, he tells the pianist, “I am with you all the way.” The film makes its local theatrical debut tonight at 8:40 at the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque and screens again at 4:15 on Sunday. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
