When funnyman and the missus aren't touring the country, they're posting jokes on the World Wide Web.

Husband-and-wife comedians Brian McKim and Traci Skene may share the same bed, but their routines are as far apart as the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. She's more about audience interaction; he's into setups and punch lines. "Before I became a comic, I didn't know a darn thing about geography," says McKim. "I thought Winnipeg was a game show for pirates." The couple met in Philadelphia in 1984, when Skene was hanging out with her big sis at a comedy club. Fifteen years later, they started the humor-filled e-zine Shecky. "I was going to start scanning all the goofy stuff I collected over the years. I was going to upload it and start putting it online just for fun," says McKim. "I said, 'Why stop there? Why not go national?'"Since then, the website has become a one-stop blog and forum for stand-up comedians. But don't expect the pair to publish hard-copy editions of it. "That would be going backwards technologically. I've seen publications up close. And believe me, I know what it takes in terms of manpower and money," says McKim. "There's no way I'd go backwards like that." The couple goes onstage at 8 tonight, 8 and 10:15 p.m. Saturday, and 7 p.m. Sunday at the Improv, 2000 Sycamore Street on the West Bank of the Flats. Tickets are $11 to $17. Call 216-696-4677 or visit
