A phenom at an early age, blues guitarist Eric Clapton joined his first band when he was only 16. His fame quickly rose as he moved from one supergroup to the next, playing first with the Yardbirds and then with Cream and Blind Faith. He eventually had a successful solo career, and he's the only three-time Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee. The Clapton Tribute — Evolution will play material from Clapton's entire career when it performs tonight at 8 at the Akron Civic Theatre. The Steely Dan tribute act FM Project opens. Tickets are $15.
