BorderLight International Theatre + Fringe Festival Staff Pick

When: Wed., July 24 2019
As part of the BorderLight International Theatre + Fringe Festival that kicks off today in downtown Cleveland, there will be 40 unique productions on 14 stages across multiple indoor and outdoor venues. More than 100 artists from nine countries will be on hand. Founded as a nonprofit in 2016 by Cleveland-area theater artists Dale Heinen and Jeffrey Pence, the festival's core international programming features three touring productions: Creatures, a free, public procession of life-size animal puppets; the Davai Theatre Group's Under Construction; and Silent, a "devastating and redemptive solo performance" by Olivier Award-winning actor-playwright Pat Kinevane. The local vaudeville duo Pinch & Squeal will be on hand as well. Check the website for a complete list of performances. (Jeff Niesel)
