“Boycott! The Art of Economic Activism” features twenty-plus boycotts, including the Montgomery Bus Boycott, United Farm Workers’ boycott, divestment from South Africa to protest Apartheid, boycotts of corporations using sweatshops, the Palestinian call for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions, among others.
The exhibition was initiated by the American Friends Service Committee, a Quaker related organization that promotes lasting peace with justice as a practical expression of faith, and produced in collaboration with the Center for the Study of Political Graphics.
