Brews and Prose

When: Tue., May 6 2014
Another month, another unmissable installment of Brews + Prose at Market Garden Brewery. This month you’ll get the distinct pleasure of hearing the prose stylings of a frelace journalist writer and a fiction writer. Kristin Ohlson is reader No. 1. Her new book is The Soil Will Save Us: How Scientists, Farmers, and Foodies Are Healing the Soil to Save the Planet (Rodale, 2014). It’s really dirty, if you catch my drift. Also, her article about burning coal mines was collected in Best American Science Writing 2011. Ben Stroud is the author of Byzantium: Stories (Graywolf), which won the 2013 Story Prize Spotlight Award and the 2012 Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference Bakeless Fiction Prize. His fiction has appeared all over the place and he teaches at the University of Toledo. Go drink a beer and be all literary. (Allard)
