Brews and Views

When: Fri., Oct. 18, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $30
Set at a craft brewery in Chicago, the film Drinking Buddies, as its title suggests, centers on a group of people who love to drink and have a good time. The film, which stars Olivia Wilde, Jake Johnson, Anna Kendrick and Ron Livingston, had a short run here in Cleveland and received mixed reviews. It's not just about drinking; it's also about growing up and relationships and serious stuff too. And we bet that all goes down better if you have a beer or two while you watch it. We're guessing that's the thinking behind tonight's craft beer tasting and screening at the Akron Civic Theatre. Craft breweries such as Fat Head's and Revolution, the latter of which is featured in the film, will serve up the suds at 8 and then the movie will screen at 9. Tickets are $30 (or two for $50).
