Flour in Moreland Hills is partnering with Heinen’s winebuyer Ed Thompkins to create a Burgundy and Brews event. “Thompkins came to us with this strange concept of a beeryramid, the idea that three items—beer, wine and food—can connect to make surprisingly fitting pairings,” explains Flour’s general manager Brian Lachman. The $75-per-person, four-course dinner starts at 6:30 p.m. and will feature unique pairings like soft shell crab with popcorn sauce paired with a Drouhin Mersault and a Monts Golden Ale. Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant. (Beudert)
