CAN CAN 2016

When: Sat., April 2 2016
Join the artists, galleries and nonprofits of the Collective Arts Network for the celebration of its CAN Journal. This year’s annual benefit, CAN CAN 2016, takes place today from 7 p.m. to midnight at 78th Street Studios. Admission from 7 to 8:30 p.m. is $75 and includes an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, a Buy-It-Now Auction and live music from the Chris Vance Trio. Starting at 8:30 p.m., admission is $25 and includes a cash bar, pizza, silent auction and music from DJ Ape Bleakney, owner of Ape Made. The highlight of the evening, the karaoke competition, begins at 9:30 p.m. Last year’s first place performance of Aquarius/Let the Sunhine In from the ladies of Zygote Press caused an impromptu dance party to break out. Tickets are on sale now through CAN Journal’s website (http://canjournal.org/2016benefit/). (Usmani) 1305 West 80th St., canjournal.org.
