Cape Fear

Director Martin Scorsese revisited the 1962 classic Cape Fear and remade the movie back in 1991. His remake is a gem as it features a standout performance from DeNiro, then in his prime, as a convicted rapist who stalks the family of the lawyer who sent him to the slammer. Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange and Juliette Lewis also star in the flick, and it features cameos from Gregory Peck, Robert Mitchum and Martin Balsam, all of whom appeared in the 1962 original. The film screens tonight at 9:30 and midnight at the Cedar Lee Theatre. It also screens tomorrow night at 7. Tickets are $6. (Niesel)
