Carnival of Madness featuring Shinedown/Sevendust/Papa Roach/Skillet/In this Moment/We as Human

When: Tue., Aug. 13, 5 p.m. 2013
Price: $45-$55
Riding the wave of post-grunge-early-2000s-Nickelback-vocals, Shinedown launched onto the scene with “Burning Bright” and later with the hit single “Second Chance.” This wildly popular band has done well for itself over the years but it’s been rough since their biggest hit, “Second Chance,” came out in 2008. People’s taste for music has simply seemed to shift in other directions. The band will be joined by Papa Roach, another post grunge band of a similar style, most known for “Last Resort” the favorite song of Tony Hawk-aspiring skateboard punks. The single “Forever” was also over played on alternative rock radio stations for a period. Like Shinedown, the band has struggled to stay relevant in the modern music scene. Regardless, there’s still a strong underground scene that enjoys this pseudo metal-pop genre and if you're one of those people this tour will provide a number of veteran acts as well as some surprise up and comers.
