CCJR

No Silence (demo) (MySpace.com/CCJR)

Cleveland to the core, CCJR straddles alt-rock and classic rock, sounding like vintage Heart updated for airplay on K-Rock. Rich's humming bass wraps around Jeremy's insistent guitar like an impenetrable electromagnetic force field. The blues influences that singer Cassie Q. displays during the band's hit-or-miss live sets disappear in the recording studio, but her big rock voice will still make you want to take her side on girl-done-wrong songs like "Forgiveness," where she's on the defensive, despite having nothing to apologize for.
