Featuring 26 tracks and running 76 minutes, Clip Up is no mere mixtape. This highlight set by Cleveland rapper Zel gets aggressive at times: Check out tough cuts like "Banana Clip Hammers," "Stray Shots 3," and "Spit Yo Game." But he's also a team player, name-checking a bunch of Buckeye State cities in "Get It in Ohio." Clip Up loads up its first half with original tracks, reserving the second part for remixes featuring A-listers like Andre 3000 and Drake. Mixing it up a little would help the album's flow. So would keeping the collaborator shout-outs to a minimum. Still, Zel's sweet flow and tricky wordplay make this a keeper. — Ben Gifford
