The annual Chili Bowl Classic 5K provides a great relief from the winter malaise. The race, which begins at 9:30 a.m. at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Tremont, is more than just a running event. Entrants receive a long sleeve T-shirt and a post-race sample of chili. The bar inside the church will be serving up cheap suds after the race. It costs $20 ($25 on race day) to run, but you can buy a spectator pass for $5. That won't include the shirt, but it does include a sample of the chili. (Niesel)
