Just in time for Halloween, the Cleveland Institute of Art Cinematheque presents Cinema Fatnastique: Jean Rollin, a series devoted to the films of the late French director Jean Rollin. Known for their outlandishness, his low-budget films (he made over 50) come off as slightly surreal. They loosely fit into the dark fantasy genre. The Cinematheque will screen new digital restorations of four of his films this weekend. Tonight at 6:45, it shows The Shiver of Vampires. The Iron Rose follows at 8:40, Fascination screens tomorrow night at 8:30 and Lips of Blood follows it at 10:10 p.m. Tickets are $9. (Niesel)
