The Sounds of St. James returns with The Cleveland Consort of voices singing the very best of a capella Renaissance polyphony in a remarkable sacred space.
The concert features a recently formed octet under the leadership of Professor Steven Plank, Director of Oberlin's Collegium Musicum and Andrew B. Meldrum Professor in the Department of Musicology.
A capella singing amidst the sumptuous acoustics of St James Church highlights some of the most memorable music of William Byrd, Johannes Brahms, Jean Mouton, Giovanni da Palestrina, Paul Mealor, Heinrich Schutz and Johann Sebastian Bach.
