David Bamberger, director Harry Davidson, conductor Cleveland Institute of Music Orchestra PUCCINI Suor Angelica (Sister Angelica) MENOTTI Amelia al Ballo (Amelia Goes to the Ball) Puccini’s Suor Angelica is the touching story of a girl whose family has placed her in a convent, much to her torment. Will she be saved by a miracle? The emotional story will be paired with Menotti’s Amelia al Ballo, the farcical tale of a young lady who must deal with a husband, a lover and multiple misadventures! Don’t miss these one-act operas by two of the 20th century’s most beloved composers.
