Theres more than history on display in the Cleveland Artists Foundations
Visions of a City With a Soul: Four Photographers in Cleveland, 1925-2005 -- Arthur Gray, William Barnhill, Jasper Woods, and Andrew Borowiec. Theres also a sense of place. The photographers worked during different eras -- Gray shot in the 20s, while Borowiec documents modern-day living -- but the city remains pretty much the same. Whether its Barnhills dank alleys in the 40s or Woods chronicling poverty a decade later, the urban landscape persistently reeks of despair.
Tuesdays-Saturdays, 1-5 p.m. Starts: March 23. Continues through March 31
