The inaugural Cleveland Playwrights Festival is a celebratory event marking the creation of Playwrights Local 4181, northeast Ohio's first playwright development and production center. At this free event, interested dramatic writers can participate in workshops and discussions. Likewise, theater patrons can attend staged readings of local works and take part in the live recording of Mike Geither's podcast play Flame Puppy. A reception will follow on both evenings.
