This traveling, 24-hour pop-up exhibit and documentary (titled “Breathe Free") relate to displaced persons across the globe. The works of 34 artists depict stories shared by refugees, offering small windows into their personal struggles. As the exhibit moves left to right, each painting contains an element that reaches into the painting beside it. The 50-minute documentary will be shown at multiple times; click link for details. The receptions (9/11, 5-7 p.m.; 9/12, 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.) will feature international food and music. Art exhibit & receptions: D-Building first floor; documentary: H-Building, H-116. Free to public.
