ClevelandGives is teaming up with Community Greenhouse Partners, the city’s largest, local, sustainable, urban farm, for a Halloween-themed afternoon of volunteering from 1-4 p.m. on October 31st.
Volunteers will help insulate a greenhouse, clear vegetable beds, and pick and thin winter lettuce.
Afterwards there will be a bonfire, spirits, and a spread featuring Community Greenhouse Partners produce. There will be prizes for the best costume.
All proceeds from the event will go to Community Greenhouse Partner’s efforts to build a new hoop house. The solar-heated hoop houses enable fruits and vegetables to be grown in the off-season.
