Community Mural

After more than four months of hard work, local artist Angelica Pozo is ready to debut her community mural. Since the beginning of February, Pozo has been working with nearly 400 members of the community, including community groups, residents in and employees of Tremont to hand-paint over 1,000 ceramic tiles. The 54 ft. long Tremont Community Mural features historic and popular images of the neighborhood, and will be installed in Lincoln Park. Organizers are hosting a celebration at 6 p.m. today during the Tremont Farmers Market. Following the dedication ceremony, Wine Press (2221 Professor Ave.) hosts a celebratory gathering in its backroom at 7 p.m. Free. (Usmani)
