Choreographed for Cleveland Ballet by Spanish choreographer Ramón Oller, Coppélia is a comic ballet based on two stories written by German romantic author E. T. A. Hoffmann. The story centers on Dr. Coppelius, an inventor who's made a life-size dancing doll. Today's performances, presented by the Ballet Theatre of Ohio, take place at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Akron Civic Theatre. Another performance takes place at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Tickets start at $25.
