Cruise-In

Gear heads can rejoice. Avon Lake's fourth annual Cruise-In will take place from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Weiss Baseball Fields. The free event will feature a large array of custom cars, trucks and motorcycles, vintage first responder and military vehicles, race cars and the Bernie Moreno Exotic and Luxury Vehicle Row. There will be food trucks, concession stands and activities for kids of all ages. Proceeds from door prizes, a 50/50 raffle and T-shirt sales will benefit Valor Home of Lorain County, a transitional housing program for homeless male veterans. Parking is free, and if it gets rained out, the event will take place tomorrow. (Niesel)
